Revelation 8 predicts to the world the destruction of the sea is triggered by a great mountain of fire. Can it be fulfilled by the nuclear disaster in Japan 2011?
The Bible constantly points out the truth that man continually tries to be godlike in coming up with the next big invention. It is not a secret that the Bible also did not credit man to be his own savior or its weakness in being the causes of many messes. It looks like in the area of nuclear accident, man finds himself back in a familiar position.
The Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster was a nuclear accident at the Fukushima Daiichi, north of Japan. Fukushima means 福島, the island of blessings. Daiichi is 第一 in Japanese Kanji, mean The First. Nuclear power plant makes up the rest of the title – 原子力発電所.
Here is a reminder. Following a major earthquake, a 15-meter tsunami disabled the power supply and cooling of three Fukushima Daiichi reactors, causing a nuclear accident on 11 March 2011. All three cores largely melted in the first three days. The 2011 Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster ranks as the world’s worst nuclear accident since 1986 (Chernobyl). The Chernobyl disaster was a nuclear accident that occurred on 26 April 1986 at the No. 4 nuclear reactor in the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, near the city of Pripyat in the north of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic. Cnet ranks the meltdown at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant in 2011 to be the worst nuclear disaster in history. It displaced 50,000 households after radioactivity leaked into the air, soil and sea.
Not only that it has been over 8 years since the nuclear reactors were compromised by the earthquake, the nuclear packed cooling water that have been keeping the core under temperature control has been stored on site and it is running out of space.
There is no concerted plan for the storage or disposal management that will satisfactorily address this environmental disaster to date even though it has been 8 years. It is an example of the technology of man needing its own cleanup and man does not have the answer.
Was this all actually included in Bible prophecy?
Mutation Is Caused By Exposure To Fallout Japan will dump the fallout water to the Pacific
Japan is no stranger to environmental disaster as she was the recipient of nuclear weapon attacks.
This is an international crisis which the news outlet neglects.
A discussion below approves the release of radioactive tritium into the waters and argues favorably that tritium is harmless to human. I last checked. Humans do not live in the ocean. Oceanic lives that are affected by radioactive tritium may mutate and humans end up as the consumers higher up the food chain. We are to think through the whole ramification. Environmental pollution can never be justified for humans are part of the food chain.
The lowest member of the ocean food chain is the planktons, that I remember from my high school zoology class. There are these simple cell planktonic organisms. If they die, it triggers a chain reaction up the chain and the next consumer will die out, one step up the ladder all the way to human beings. And when that happens, people will look up to today and regret the lack of well thought out policies in this matter.
Ocean floor organisms include animals such as soft tissue animals like sea cucumbers, sea stars, crustaceans and some worms. Other animals need to have something solid to attach themselves to the seafloor, such as sponges, hard and soft corals and some anemones. It is irresponsible to address the effects of radioactivity upon these animals.
Revelation: The Second Trumpet
Science has not collected enough knowledge of the ocean in order to make an uneducated opinion about dumping radioactive waste. Is this part of the woe due to the Second Trumpet?
In Revelation 8, two verses are devoted to the description of the outcome of the second trumpet having sounded. Having said that, the Bible does not address how it is sounded. But we certainly can tell once it is sounded by observing for the signs.
Can the “great mountain of fire” be a radioactive fallout like Fukushima? Is the Creator warning the human race of our comeuppance as irresponsible tenants?
33% of the sea became blood. The “sea” will refer to all the salt water sources, not just the Pacific. It is the sum of the Atlantic, the Pacific, the Indian, the Arctic, the Southern. The salt seas are all connected. The Bible calls the body of water from Genesis 1, the sea.

The term deep sea creature refers to organisms that live below the photic zone of the ocean. …. Humans have explored less than 3% of the ocean floor, and dozens of new species of deep sea creatures are discovered with every dive.
A Favorable Argument To Dump Fallout Waste Water

Full article
In a news briefing in Tokyo earlier this week, Japan’s Minister of the Environment, Yoshiaki Harada, told reporters that Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) will have to dump radioactive water from its crippled Fukushima nuclear power plants into the Pacific Ocean.
He went so far as to say it is “the only option”. Which is actually true.
They just don’t have any room left to store it. And storing it is the wrong strategy anyway. TEPCO has collected more than 250 million gallons of contaminated water from the cooling pipes used to keep fuel cores from melting since the plant was destroyed by the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami in 2011.
The Japanese government awaits a report from an expert panel before making a final decision, and quickly pointed out that Harada’s opinion was his alone and did not indicate a policy decision. TEPCO will abide by whatever the government decides.
Tritium is just assumed to be carcinogenic to humans at extremely high levels, although that claim is only hypothetical since adverse health effects from tritium have never appeared in humans or in the environment. Only laboratory studies on mice at extremely high levels, only achievable in the laboratory, have shown any adverse health effects.
Putting this water into the ocean is without doubt the best way to get rid of it. Concentrating it and containerizing it actually causes more of a potential hazard to people and the environment. And is very very expensive with no benefit.
Unfortunately, the idea of releasing radioactivity of any sort makes most people cringe. But that’s the problem, only the perception of tritium is bad, not the reality. And in our new world of anti-science, such a wrong idea might rule over what is the right thing to do, wasting precious resources and time.
Tritium emits an incredibly weak beta particle that is easily stopped by our dead skin layer. It only goes a quarter inch in air. Even ingestion of tritium doesn’t do anything.
The health risks of tritium-contaminated water are so low that all the countries of the world have no idea what regulatory limits to put on it.
Why is this the case?
Hydrogen is the smallest of atom and easily gets through microscopic pores, even biological membranes and cell walls. Tritium, which is still hydrogen chemically, can be found in water molecules, which are two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom.
Because tritium is three times heavier than normal hydrogen because of two neutrons in its nucleus, tritium tends to replace normal hydrogen in water molecules, rapidly diluting any tritium in our bodies and in the environment. Tritium likes to be in water, not in tissue.
Our bodies are mostly hydrogen, and that is mostly in water. So while tritium’s radioactive half-life is 12.3 years, its biological half-life in our bodies is only 10 days. Therefore, ingestion of this weak emitter doesn’t have the same effect as most other ingested radionuclides.
It’s also difficult for the extremely low-energy beta from tritium to get through the water, cell walls and other materials in between the radionuclide and any critical molecule like DNA. The energy in the slow-moving beta from tritium mostly gets dispersed within the electron clouds of other molecules through inelastic collisions and the Bremsstrahlung effect. This turns the kinetic energy of the beta emission into electromagnetic non-ionizing energy.
In the end, it is impossible to get a significant radiation dose from tritium, unlike any other radionuclide. It exits the body and is diluted too quickly.
Even more important, there’s more tritium in the atmosphere from natural processes and that left over from old bomb testing, than ever has been, or will be, released from commercial reactors. Cosmic rays produce four million curies worth of tritium every year (150,000,000,000,000,000 Bq) in the upper atmosphere, much of which rains out into surface waters that we end up drinking.
This particular problem with Fukushima is really important because Japan needs to restart most of their reactors that were shut down after the earthquake in 2011. They were not affected by the quake or the tsunami that followed, and wouldn’t be by future ones.
Nuclear power is critical to addressing global warming, not to mention the Japan’s economic doldrums. Japan was once at the forefront in the fight against global warming but their carbon emissions have skyrocketed since the output from their nuclear plants were unnecessarily replaced by fossil fuels.
After Thought – Tekiah
This is not over yet. As the article says, the Japanese government needs to make a determination to be based on a commissioned report.
We shall see how the outcome may trigger the Second Trumpet outcome. I believe personally that the actual trumpet has already been sounded by the angel who was responsible for the sounding. It should be a Tekiah sound. It is a medium volume long blast. It means Wake Up.
The Tekiah is one of the long deep calls sounded on the shofar as prescribed in the Jewish ritual for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.
As I write this post, we are less than two days to the Yom Kippur of 2019.
Wake up, world.
Wake up, Church.
