Let me establish a few things. I will repeat this passage in the other article for water immersion. Y’shua is sinless. He needed not remission of sin, as that is what John at the Jordan was calling people to do.
3 And he came into all the surrounding region of the Jordan, proclaiming an immersion of repentance for the removal of sins. – Luke 3
Eashoa entered the water in Jordan not for the cleansing of sin but for the legal marriage as the role of the Kinsman Redeemer for His bride to be. Y’shua was not baptized by the Spirit, where baptize means immerse. Rather, the Spirit descended gently upon Him as an anointing, like a dove.

John answered them all, saying, “As for me, I immerse you with water. But One is coming who is mightier than I am; I am not worthy to untie the strap of His sandals! He will immerse you in the Ruach ha-Kodeshand fire.
John was a mortal man, he immersed people who repented of their sins in the Jordan, not just water, but natural body of water. It is John who says the Spirit immersion is to be done by the Christ, the same word as Messiah. So if Eashoa immersed you already in the Spirit, you are saved. The rest is obedience, not salvation.
Now the water. As messianic people, I will point out the significance and the reason why the water immersion is observed by Eashoa and those who believe already before they enter the water.
The mikveh is a long held ritual as part of cleansing one’s conscience. The mikveh is still practiced today in Jewish communities worldwide for people who are betrothed to be married. Needless to say, Jews are not messianic believers. They are essentially non-messianic in religion, it is insulting to them to suggest that Eashoa is God. They get into the mikveh because it is built into their culture, the one and the same culture as John and Eashoa.
Eashoa is the Bridegroom of the marriage that is to be held in paradise /Eden (both foreign words mean the sane ting – a garden, the garden of God, a beautiful setting for a wedding). He entered the mikveh first, and John, the Immerser and the Prophet, immersed Him in the water (not in the Spirit).
In John 3, Eashoa told a fellow Jew, Rabbi Nakdimon (Nicodemus) –
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. – John 3|5
Those who are going to the marriage of the King are either of His House, these are those who descend from Jacob (as the messianic Jews are) or they are Gentiles born outside of the House of Jacob. The Gentile believers become the bride of Christ. The concept is, if you are descended from the House, you already are part of the House and your veins are flowing the same blood. On the other hand, the Gentiles do not belong to the natural family, and therefore there needed to be grafted by the symbol of marriage. The bride is to be asked for her hand by the groom in marriage. If she agrees then she will enter the water immersion as an act of following the marriage in the proper proceedings of the legal process of matrimony. The Bride will be married to the Lord in public witness of His suffering, death and resurrection and rise up from the water as a sign of obedience.
And those of the House will declare we belong to the people of God as we repent of our sins and be reconciled to Elohim. Remember our Lord says, in Matthew 10 to the Jewish disciples -5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: 6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. The 120 Jews (Acts 1) who gathered in the Upper Room in Acts 1 -2 were not water immersed.
In Acts 8, a Gentile was water immersed AFTER he was Spirit immersed. 27 And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship,28Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet. In the same span of time, the Gentile believed in the Lord and by faith he was saved. 36And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?37And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.38And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.
It was not water that these 3,000 were entered in but in the Spirit. In following my thread in another post, you read that I asked the question. How many times in Acts 2 was the word ‘water’ mentioned? Correct. None. None went into the water. They were from the House of Jacob. They were immersed by the same Spirit in the Upper Room earlier in the morning upon 120 Jews in the name of Y’shua. It was only later then that Gentiles also began to receive the Lord and they had the water immersion as the Bride enters the mikveh.
Whoever will receive the invitation, as Peter, John and the rest did, will be witnesses to His marriage to a Gentile bride. Did you remember if any of the Twelve disciples were water immersed in the New Testament? Correct. None. Becuz the brethren of the Lord from the House are the guests and the witnesses, not the bride. After the House members have the opportunity to consider the invitation, then the bride candidates will receive the Bridegroom and be immersed in the mikveh, a living body of natural water.Have you heard this before? Probably not. Becuz the Christian Church has been practicing Replacement Theology and it is confusing.
Both Jews and Gentiles need the Spirit immersion to receive salvation, bar none.
Galatians Chapter 326 For ye are all the children of God 🤲by faith in Christ Jesus.
27 For as many of you as have been 🤲baptized into Christ have put on Christ.28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
29 And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.Did you think Paul was talking about the water baptism? No. Paul was teaching about the Spirit immersion (baptism).
The water baptism is for a believer, and a Gentile believer at that, never for salvation, but for attending the marriage of the Bridegroom our Lord, as the bride. Shall a bride marry her groom out of love? Yes. As for a messianic believer, we will already attend as witnesses to Y’shua’s marriage as witnesses. It is not given in the New Covenant that the water mikveh is necessary for the messianic believer of Y’shua, but for the bride of Christ, and not for salvation but out of love for the Savior.
