Elisha The Man Of God Series (4)

God knows men who are apart of Himself from the days of Babel. The only worthy leader of men is the son of man. We know Him by Y’shua.

Romans 1:22 has been translated in various versions below, playing between the wise in God and the fools in men.

Claiming to be wise, they instead became utter fools. They claim to be wise, but they are fools. They say they are wise, but they are fools; And when they thought in themselves that they were wise, they became insane.

A Play On Optics

In leading the Prophet and the 3 kings in the battle against Mesha the king of Moab, the men of Moab were fooling only themselves in a state of heightened anxiety. In the end their confusion delivered the whole country into the hands of the kings of Israel, Judah and Edom.

“This is what the LORD says: ‘Dig this valley full of ditches.’ 17For the LORD says, ‘You will not see wind or rain, but the valley will be filled with water, and you will drink—you and your cattle and your animals.’ 18This is a simple matter in the sight of the LORD, and He will also deliver the Moabites into your hands. 19And you shall attack every fortified city and every city of importance. You shall cut down every good tree, stop up every spring, and ruin every good field with stones.”

Again Sacrifice And Worship First

20The next morning, at the time of the morning sacrifice, water suddenly flowed from the direction of Edom and filled the land.

Obedience to God in His Living Word brings a promise fulfilled.

Public Opinion A Wrong Turn

Beware of hearsay on YouTube and other social media platforms where whoever is just posting their personal opinions. If you do not filter them perhaps you will be defeated like the Moab people.

21Now all the Moabites had heard that the kings had come up to fight against them. So all who could bear arms, young and old, were summoned and stationed at the border. 22When they got up early in the morning, the sun was shining on the water, and it looked as red as blood to the Moabites across the way.

God has already said there is no wind no rain. Common sense says the exceedingly red hue in the morning sun is due to something else. Still water reflects the light of the atmosphere and it can be a beautiful sight. Here, God uses nature and the laws of light as a weapon without any brutal force. Often, the battle takes place in the mind. So depending if you have gained the mind of Christ, meaning, you understand the will of God, you are drawn to wise thinking.

The red color reflections turned the water as bloodshed. The rest of the story is actually all made up stuff in the minds of the Moabites. This verse is key to interpret the Trumpets of Revelation using Scripture interpreting Scripture sound method.

Rumors Of War

23“This is blood!” they exclaimed. “The kings have clashed swords and slaughtered each other. Now to the plunder, Moab!”

Red liquid, therefore, “it is blood!” These men immediately thought of blood flowing in the trenches because they were no strangers to bloodshed. A child who has not seen blood from a wound will not jump to conclusion. Only those who were in scenes of bloodshed would jump to a rash conclusion so quickly without doing some verification or consultation. This moment is complete chaos.

Surprised! By Reality

24But when the Moabites came to the camp of Israel, the Israelites rose up and attacked them, and they fled before them. So the Israelites invaded their land and struck down the Moabites. 25They destroyed the cities, and each man threw stones on every good field until it was covered. They stopped up every spring and cut down every good tree. Only Kir-haraseth was left with stones in place, but men with slings surrounded it and attacked it as well.

Moab was chastened for being a traitor to Israel.

It was all cause and effect.

FLASHBACK

4Now Mesha king of Moab was a sheep breeder, and he would render to the king of Israel a hundred thousand lambs and the wool of a hundred thousand rams. 5But after the death of Ahab, the king of Moab rebelled against the king of Israel.

That was the original basis at the top that Jehoram of Israel claimed that Mesha had betrayed him. He came to Jehoshaphat for an alliance against Moab.
