Two Chagim Shavuot
The Hebrew word chag has been used in the Tanakh for feast (56x), sacrifice (3x), feast days (2x), solemnity (1x).
According to Elohiym there is only one Chag Shavuot for the same purpose. It is the solemn day of establishing a contract between Him and people. In the first memorial, in 1313 BC, it was a day of covenant between Elohiym and the tribes of Yisrael. In 30 AD, it was a day of the new covenant between Elohiym and the tribes of Yisrael by the circumcision of their hearts. This was prophetically spoken in Devarim.
Fulfilled In Jerusalem In 30 A.D.
And so on that day on Chag Shavuot, in 30 A.D., the overseas Jews came back to observe the Torah in the command of “three times a year” in Exodus to appear before Him. This was only possible before the Second Temple was razed in 70 A.D..
In verse 2, the Word of יהוה said,
Thou shalt return… with all thine heart, and with all thy soul;
Hear this fulfilled from the records in Acts 2. Note verse 37, the position of the heart was moved. 37Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles,
Men and brethren, what shall we do?
The souls thirsted for God!
“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled” (Matthew 5:6).
Acts 2
32This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.
35Until I make thy foes thy footstool.
Regeneration
Today in 2019 there are many believers in Christ who are descended of the House of Yisrael. Most do not identify themselves as Jewish for it implies that the person worships in the Judaism religion and obviously a Christian will not reject Eashoa as the religion of Judaism does to today. But those believers will tell you that one of their ancestors was a blood Jew.
The Jewish Shavuot is not the Messianic Shavuot. We are not there yet, when the ethnic Jews turn to Moshiach with the help of a detour called the antichrist figure. And the Bride shall witness the event. The Gentiles will witness the revealing of the antichrist on earth. In distinguishing between whether an observer of Shavuot look upon the 6th of Sivan (a fixed date) or the 50 days counting from the day of resurrection, a date that is dependent upon the sighting of the Abib moon, the key turn is the Moshiach.
Because the Lord rose from the dead on the Feast of First Fruits, Bikurrim, He changed how Shavuot is counted just BECAUSE HE LIVES, as the lyrics of the hymn goes. He (the Word of יהוה) met with Moshe on the top of Sinai and He (the Word of יהוה) also rose from the dead to be seated at the right hand of the Father after ascension. In the Jewish Shavuot, or the Catholic Pentecost, neither is tied to the Resurrection.
Shavuot
- In orthodoxy communities it is a major Jewish festival held on the 6th (and usually the 7th) of Sivan (month no. 3), fifty days after the second day of Passover (in month no. 1). It was originally a harvest festival, but now also commemorates the giving of the Law (the Torah). To the non-messianic Jews, Y’shua did not rise to life. Shavuot is a memorial day for the Torah given on Sinai through Moshe.
- In 30 AD, the Ruwach haQodesh first descended upon 120 Jews and then baptized 3,000 Jews in Acts 2, being added to their numbers. These 3,120 Jews on that day became the first fruits to the tribes. (Reference Revelation 7.)
- From then on, the messianics count the omer (1/10 of the ephah measuring unit) based upon the resurrection of the Lord Eashoa (Jesus).
To us, the messianics, the Holy Feast of Shavuot is a holy day of Father, unlike all the pagan feast days on the calendar. Shavuot commemorates the giving of the Torah as a Covenant to YisraEl on Sinai and also the effectivity of the New Covenant as the Head Witness, the Ruwach haQodesh (Holy Spirit, 1 John 5 | 8), who witnesses each person being entered into salvation. The Ruwach Elohiym begins His work on the ingathered Yisrael, the first fruits of Revelation 7, as well as the Gentile Bride who is one day to be married to the Messiah before the throne of His Father.
1 John 5:8
“And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.”
King James Version (KJV)
Circumcision Of The Heart
The New Covenant that was established by Eashoa came into effect 53 days after His death. The Will became effect as the estate of the dead is distributed. In Isaiah 53, the narrative in prophecy perfectly described how the suffering servant of יהוה gave up His body like that matzah bread that is broken and pierced on the Cross. He rose in 3 days and 3 nights to fulfill HaBikurrim as the First Fruits in pre-eminence above all who will also be raised to life eternal.
The Sinai covenant that promised land mass to Yisrael ended upon the death of the One who gave it to Yisrael as Yisrael told Pilate to kill Him. The contractual terms were released for both parties.
It was 53 days before Shavuot in 30 AD that the Jewish Messiah died on the Cross in innocent of His own deeds. He died for all sinners alike, Jews or Gentiles, the seed of Adam, barring the human hybrids. At Shavuot, the promise of יהוה in Deuteronomy 30 came true for the sons of Yisrael. Words of Christ appear in red.
On that day at the Shavuot, the movement began in the last days that Joel prophesied in Joel 2.
At this promise, the Word of shall be in and among Yisrael (Joel 2:27, see below), the seeds that are scattered to the ends of the earth, as He also is walking between the lamp stands in Revelation for we are House and Bride worship Him as One. Words of Christ in red. Joel 1 1The word of the LORD that came to Joel the son of Pethuel.
29And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.
30And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.
The New Covenant came into effect in 30 AD as Jews led the spreading of the Gospel from Jerusalem to the nations, where its beginning was at Antioch welcoming in Gentiles to the faith that is based on a New Covenant brokered by Eashoa (Jesus) with His blood, that is Life. Peter, Andrew, Thomas, Paul,Silas, Yosef “Barnabus, John Mark traveled the seas to take the Gospel to the nations. Therefore both days of the Feast of the Shavuot are being commemorated as a remembrance for two Covenants, one past and one in effect until the Age of Grace ends.
Shavuot carries a tremendous meaning to the covenants of Elohiym. Those who enter into the kingdom protected by this legal contract are save. Those who are yet to enter into the covenant have just a short time to make the best move of their lives.
Lord Eashoa, we pray for the glory of the Father that His will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We know that the age of grace is coming to a close from all the signs that were sent to date. Help your servants in the House of Yisrael and in the Bride of the Gentiles to go to the field and be empowered to work the harvest until You come to take us to the Marriage of the Lamb. Amein.
