Come Monday, all those who are imposters on Sunday will show their real identity until next Sunday. Those who are faithful seven days a week are approved by the Lord.
We know and believe firmly in one aspect of God – He is the Omniscient God. God knows not only our hearts, He also knows our intents, our hits and misses. The most deadly combo of heart and deeds is disobedience in the heart and disobedience in the act.
To be in Christ is not disengaged in doing something in contradiction to all that we come to know from every sentence that is spoken by Him in the Gospel of the New Testament.
I shall present 4 scenarios of how most Christians live their lives and finish it that way.
Conditions of combo of heart and deeds
1. Obedience in the heart and deeds — Faithfully serving the Lord
2. Obedience in the heart and disobedience in the deeds – sins of omissions, “Forgive us our debts as we forgive those indebted to us”. The Lord covers that base.
3. Disobedience in the heart and obedience in the deeds – repentance. The Lord covers that in a parable in Matthew 21 –
The Parable of the Two Sons
28 “What do you think? A man had two sons. And he went to the first and said, ‘Son, go and work in the vineyard today.’ 29 And he answered, ‘I will not,’ but afterward he changed his mind and went. 30 And he went to the other son and said the same. And he answered, ‘I go, sir,’ but did not go. 31 Which of the two did the will of his father?” They said, “The first.” Jesus said to them, “Truly, I say to you, the tax collectors and the prostitutes go into the kingdom of God before you. 32 For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes believed him. And even when you saw it, you did not afterward change your minds and believe him.
Changing one’s mind mid-stream is repentance.
4. Disobedience in the heart and in deed. That is beyond acceptance. Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is the denial of what the Holy Spirit says you are. It is one unforgivable sin. In Matthew 24, Christ previews with His Coming:
The Wise Servant
45 “Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his master has set over his household, to give them their food at the proper time? 46 Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes. 47 Truly, I say to you, he will set him over all his possessions.
The Wicked Servant, His Heart And His Deed Fail Him
48 But if that wicked servant says to himself, ‘My master is delayed,’ 49 and begins to beat his fellow servants and eats and drinks with drunkards, 50 the master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not know 51 and will cut him in pieces and put him with the hypocrites. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Conventional Christianity says the day of accounts is on Judgement Day, referring to the second resurrection of the dead before the Great White Throne. The second resurrection is meant for those humans who are not saved. Otherwise, they would resurrect in the first resurrection along with Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, David and so forth.
However, the Bible indeed teaches the King shall arrive to judge the world 1,000 years before the Great White Throne. The Great White Throne shall be even more severe because those who will be born and live in the Millennial Reign of Christ will also attend their own trials for how they lived their lives with the Messiah reigning on earth.
The first call for accountability will in fact come when Christ appears in the Gathering (the popular “rapture”) of the elect. Those from among the elect who are judged on one single criterion to be approved will be received into the Gathering of Christ in the Blessed Hope. Instant resurrection bodies will be issued to the elect, in the air, as the elect — the revived House of Yisrael and the Bride that is distilled from the Church — will follow Christ to paradise. This is the judgment of the Church.
Each member of the Church will be judged for whether they abide in Christ or if they have lived apart from Christ. Romans 8: 1-2 says,
There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.
The key speech is “IN CHRIST”. Religion and denominational membership does not count.
And if you know someone who challenges the above, as some certainly will and have done, that their argument is once a man or a woman has confessed faith “he or she is saved” according to Romans — then I will say let’s hit this verse together to see if the person shows signs of salvation.
5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. 6 For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. 7 For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God’s law; indeed, it cannot.
One may believe what the preacher on stage says, that if you do “A”, then you are a “Christian”. But what the preacher on stage did not tell you is, there are Christians and there are Christians. Those who fail to make vv. 5 – 7 will be eliminated. But you cannot wholly blame him because if you have never received the regeneration of the Holy Spirit, for He knows what is in a man’s heart, then without being born of water and of the Spirit, no one may enter the kingdom of God.
And those individuals pointed out by Jude in verse 12 will be separated out from the elect. It won’t be done secretly. The separation will be done publicly. Balaam was a diviner, a magician if you will, that acted as a schemer in the knowledge of God. Korah rebelled against Moses and challenged his authority based on his conduct.
11 Woe to them! For they walked in the way of Cain and abandoned themselves for the sake of gain to Balaam’s error and perished in Korah’s rebellion. 12 These are hidden reefs at your love feasts, as they feast with you without fear, shepherds feeding themselves; waterless clouds, swept along by winds; fruitless trees in late autumn, twice dead, uprooted; 13 wild waves of the sea, casting up the foam of their own shame; wandering stars, for whom the gloom of utter darkness has been reserved forever.
The second judgment will take place away from the earth, unlike the first one. The Bema Seat of Christ shall take place in paradise before His Second Coming. Paul dropped hints of this judgment.which is favorable toward all believers, for while both good and bad things are presented, yes they still will be presented in the presence of all the saints, but only the good things will be awarded upon for the deeds of faith.
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what we have done whether good or bad (2 Corinthians 5:10).
If you live your life that is set apart from the paradigm of this world and you go on the paradigm of Christ, then you will be rejoicing at the first and second judgments, where both are presided by Christ, our God and King.
