A commentary to Isaiah 28 and the First Trumpet in Revelation
Note to the last days generation of believers and seekers. I am in this generation that will see the Messiah return. And I believe you are too when you abide in Him to the end. We need to be dressed for the times.
Could the elect be deceived? What do you think?
Jesus Is God
Three times in the Gospel the Lord Y’shua used this word – Possible.
Dynatós – Gk. (pronounced doo-nat-os’) from 1410; powerful or capable, involving force. The KJ translators preferred to use “possible”. But there is a slight connotative difference.
Y’shua used dynatós once for saying “all things are possible with God”.
Matthew 19:26
Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Once for the cup of wrath that was meant for Judah (Ezekiel 23) and He took the cup of the harlot to drink it Himself by proxy. Here is what the Word of God (Jesus) said to Ezekiel in pre-incarnation.
32 This is what the Lord God says:
“You will drink your sister’s cup,
which is deep and wide.
You will be an object of[g] ridicule and scorn,
for it holds so much.
33 You will be filled with drunkenness and grief,
with a cup of devastation and desolation,
the cup of your sister Samaria.
34 You will drink it and drain it;
then you will gnaw its broken pieces,
and tear your breasts.
For I have spoken.”
This is the declaration of the Lord God.
35 Therefore, this is what the Lord God says: “Because you have forgotten me and cast me behind your back, you must bear the consequences of your indecency and promiscuity.”
Finally God says that the elect could be deceived ( planaó ), if possible ( dynatós ).
Matthew 24:24
For false messiahs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.
Planaó – Gk. gone astray. The KJ translators preferred to use “deceived”. But what the Lord really meant was people can go astray by departing from The Way, that is Messiah Himself.
Are we listening? Are we watching? Are we praying?
2 John 1:7 Many deceivers have gone out into the world; they do not confess the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the antichrist.
Many false prophets and false teachers are out and about trying to nab seekers to stumble into their web of deception. Some webs are entry level. But others are sophisticated. But their end is the same.
1 John 4:2 This is how you know the Spirit of God:
👉👉Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God,
The FOUNDATION of salvation is the God appointed Cornerstone, which is that you build your saving faith upon.
Shall it be the cornerstone mentioned in Isaiah ? Christ came to fulfill that Cornerstone.

John said Isaiah saw Jesus in His glory in the Book of Isaiah.
Isaiah 28:16 Therefore the Lord God said:
“Look, I have laid a stone in Zion,a tested stone,a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation;
👉🏼 the one who believes will be unshakable.17 And I will make justice the measuring line and righteousness the mason’s level.”Hail will sweep away the false refuge, and water will flood your hiding place.
YHVH addresses two things in v. 17.
Every soul shall be tested for righteousness. It is necessary. Back in the days of the Gospel the Pharisees believed they had righteousness in following the verbal laws that they themselves made up. But when Y’shua spoke to them, they were notified that they did not have righteousness.
Matthew 21
42 Jesus said to them,
“Have you never read in the Scriptures:
The stone that the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone.[h]
This is what the Lord has done
and it is wonderful in our eyes?[i]
43 Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people producing its fruit. 44 Whoever falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; but on whomever it falls, it will shatter him.”[j]
45 When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard his parables, they knew he was speaking about them.
Where does your righteousness come from?
My righteousness is found in the Messiah. His shed blood covers me upon my point of confession that He is my Redeemer, Savior and God.
These days, the gruel quality of what is called “faith” is reduced down to a statement of “out there”. Existence is not a faith, folks. The FAITH that the Fathers looks in His inspection of every heart is the presence of His Son.
So again, who is your righteousness?
Give an answer not from your brains but let it come from your heart. Take care of this today. If your honest answer is not Christ, then you are not even in the Kingdom. The kingdom is among all who hear the Gospel. But unless you heed it, you are not in the kingdom of God.
God will make justice the measuring line. Justice is dealt toward violations against God’s standard by destruction. The flesh of Jesus was literally destroyed going to the cross. God does not need to wait upon His own promise being fulfilled. We need to sign the covenant on the dotted line in every generation. God is patient. God is not condoning. God is not tolerant. The age of grace has an expiration date. Why wait?
Isaiah 28:17 Hail will sweep away the false refuge,
From this prophetic word, we come to understand and interpret the First Trumpet. The main feature in the First Trumpet is burning fire. That fire is to be preceded by hail and blood.
7 The first angel blew his trumpet, and hail and fire, mixed with blood, were hurled to the earth. So a third of the earth was burned up, a third of the trees were burned up, and all the green grass was burned up.
Hail be the agent of God, hail in symbol is used to sweep away all those who find a false refuge. This is interpreted to mean many people who put their faith in a false messiah, a false doctrine and impure motive for following and all those who are involved in working for God improperly. Woe to those who spread false doctrine to propagate falsehood to the lives of other people. It is a bilateral damage.
