Ner Tamid

Shemot 27 | 20-21 And thou shalt command the children of Israel, that they bring thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamp to burn always. In the tabernacle of the congregation without the veil, which is before the testimony, Aaron and his sons shall order it from evening to morning before the LORD: it shall be a statute for ever unto their generations on the behalf of the children of Israel. (KJV)

The “light” above is known by its Hebrew name, Ner Tamid (Hebrew: “eternal flame” or “eternal light”). The Ner Tamid is meant to represent the menorah of the Temple in Jerusalem as well as the continuously burning fire on the altar of burnt offerings in front of the Temple.

Therefore, in the Brith Hadashah, the New Covenant in Hebrew sounds, we ask this question. “where is the Temple?

“A” temple (naos) is made inside the body of every true, redeemed and Spirit baptized believer of haMoshiach. The Christ in Hebrew sounds. Paul points to the the ruckus that was the Church at Corinth the following truth.

1 Qorinthiym 6:19 Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, 20 for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

So as Christ has fulfilled the Torah, in His own words, if you are a true believer in God, can you answer where is “your” Ner Tamid?

Where is your “Eternal Light”, believer?

Y’shua says, in John 8

10When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her,

Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?

11She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her,

Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

12Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
