Paul tells readers for the first time the role of the Holy Spirit in the prayer department.
Romans 8
Rewind to the days of the Kings. We shall see how Elijah was helped by the Holy Spirit to fill his lips with the words of God in a prayer.
The Text
1 Kings 19
36 And at the time of the offering of the oblation, Elijah the prophet came near and said, “O Lord, God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day that you are God in Israel, and that I am your servant, and that I have done all these things at your word. 37 Answer me, O Lord, answer me, that this people may know that you, O Lord, are God, and that you have turned their hearts back.”
🔓 Elijah beseeched the Almighty in boldness. Clearly knowing how he felt in the next chapter, he was distraught. Here he was carrying on in the might of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit gave him a prayer to speak to God.
🔓 Note the verbiage, that this “people may know that You are God”. This pattern is repeated tens of times in the Book of Ezekiel, and to be precise it is 24 times that the Word said those words. Upon the rejection and dispersion of the seeds of Israel, the Word of YHVH promises that one day they will know that (the Word) is YHVH. That means, one day, in our diaspora in every country in the world, in the last days, before His return, the House of Israel will surrender to the belief that Yehosha haNizrot (Jesus of Nazareth) is the Messiah. He is the Son of the Living God. Amein.
🌩 Ezekiel 20:44 And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have wrought with you for my name’s sake, not according to your wicked ways, nor according to your corrupt doings, O ye house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.
🌩 (Holman) You will know that I am Yahweh, house of Israel, when I have dealt with you because of My name rather than according to your evil ways and corrupt acts.” This is the declaration of the Lord God.
38 Then the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt offering and the wood and the stones and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench. 39 And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces and said, “The Lord, he is God; the Lord, he is God.” 40 And Elijah said to them, “Seize the prophets of Baal; let not one of them escape.” And they seized them. And Elijah brought them down to the brook Kishon and slaughtered them there.
🌩 1 Corinthians 1:22
For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
🔓 According to the scribe-prophet Jeremiah, who wrote the Kings, one man Elijah slaughtered 850 false prophets. Verse 40. The blood of the false prophets flowed in the Kishon brook. Giving false prophecies point people away from God to man. It carries the hugest price, his life as well as his soul in eternity. Today, the false prophets in Christianity will meet the same destination. And those who support them will not lose their lives but their souls will be tormented for all eternity. Sounds serious? The Scripture treats this matter super seriously.
🔓 Bad career, a false prophet’s end.
The Word of God prophesied to Zechariah at the time of His Coming, false prophets will be found out.
After dealing with the government, Y’shua will find out the idols and destroy them. Then he will find out the false prophets who benefit from the idols and remove them.
When Y’shua comes in the appointed time, no one will recognize Christianity. Christianity will get the most alarming facelift known to the world.
