In both the Old Testament and the New Testament, Scripture testifies to the deity of Jesus, the Word in the flesh. Jesus is the Word of יהוה (YHVH). I fall down in worship and in awe of my Lord and my King. He speaks what He hears from the Father. Joshua, son of Nun, saw Him. Isaiah saw Him. John testifies to His deity and Paul explains that He is the fullness of the Godhead.

The Apostle John stated that the Prophet Isaiah beheld the glory of Jesus before His incarnation in the flesh. In this passage, John points to Jesus being the True Light. Many today who do not see Jesus as God, unfortunately due to their stubbornness, they are walking in darkness, according to the Lord. They are not “children of light”. Those of us who believe in the Lordship and Deity of Jesus are children of light, according to the Lord.
John 12
Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth. 36While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light.
These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.
37But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him:
39Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias said again,
41These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spake of him.
Here in Isaiah, יהוה (YHVH) the King of Israel (Father) and His Redeemer, the יהוה Tzva’ot (the Word) said – I AM the first, I AM the last. There is only one God. Ponder upon the mystery in the truth.
Isaiah 44:6
Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts;
I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.
In Revelation 22, we come to learn from John’s vision that they share the same throne. The Word is seated at the right hand of the Father. At the beginning of the last chapter in the Holy Bible:
Revelation 22:1
“And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.”
Earlier, the captain of יהוה ‘s armies appeared to Joshua by Jericho. He appeared in the shape of a man with His sword drawn for battle. That is my Lord.
Joshua 5:13 – 15
Nay; but as captain of the host of the LORD am I now come.
And Joshua, son of Nun, fell facedown in worship of the Word of יהוה.
